All the benefits of an S5 insurance approved stolen vehicle recovery tracker - but with the added feature of engine immobilisation.

  • The Smartrack S5 Plus insurance approved tracker has recently been tested and categorised to TQA standards, with a 24/7 monitoring service.
  • The new Smartrack S5 Plus Thatcham tracker operates using GPS and GLONASS satellite networks and maximizes GPRS and GSM technology to ensure that the S5 Plus is the most comprehensive theft recovery device now available.
  • Updated new Bluetooth ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) cards.  Your D-iDT Bluetooth Driver Detection Card protects you against key theft, cloning, and unauthorised keyless entry (such as Relay Attack).
  • The S5 Plus is the upgraded version of the CAT 5 Thatcham tracker and features an advanced in-built battery back up system. This means that your S5 Tracker will still remain operating even if your vehicle’s power supply is removed.
  • Your S5 Plus stolen vehicle recovery tracker features remote engine immobilisation as standard. Remote immobilisation allows the control room to immobilise your vehicle in the event of a theft. PLEASE NOTE: the immobilisation system is not a standard requirement in order for you to receive your S5 completion certificate. It is an additional security feature that you can opt for. You will also be issued with an S5 completion certificate.

Automatic Driver Recognition System

  • All Smartrack S5 Plus Thatcham approved Trackers come with ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) as standard.
  • ADR is an incredibly effective system offering protection against key theft, key cloning, and keyless entry/theft.
  • As an authorised driver of your vehicle, you will have a ‘ADR Proximity Fob’. You keep this with you whenever you use your vehicle. Your ADR system automatically recognises your card when you enter your vehicle. You do not need to touch it against a touchpad, or deactivate anything. Just get in your car and drive!
  • If someone tries to enter and start your vehicle without the ADR card, an alert is triggered immediately in the 24/7 control centre- even if the thief has stolen your keys!
  • The S5 Plus tracker is covertly installed by our Thatcham certified engineers.
  • Our extensive team of engineers covers every UK mainland postcode and we will typically be able to provide your full installation within 1-3 working days.

How do I find out if my vehicle already has a tracker?

If you haven't arranged to install an insurance approved vehicle tracker on your vehicle then it is unlikely there will be a functioning tracking device on your car that is in line with your policy. The only way of knowing is by checking with the previous owner to see if they have installed a tracking device in the past. If they have, then they will need to contact the manufacturer/monitoring service to have it reactivated. They will need to pass over ownership to you and you will then need to take up a subscription directly. Most motorists tend to opt for a new vehicle tracking device, to ensure a full warranty and the most up to date security.

How does the immobiliser work?

The S5+ tracker immobiliser features a Police Authorised Remote Immobiliser. This means that the vehicle can be immobilised in the event of a theft, only after the responding police unit has given permission to the control room to do so. If you would like an immobiliser that you control yourself, then the Meta S5 Deadlock is the best immobiliser and tracker product currently available.

When do I pay my subscription?

After installation, you will be contacted by the Smartrack Global Telemetrics control room. They will set up your subscription and then forward your completion certificate and app log in details straight away.
