No need to carry the standard S5 ADR fobs, your D-iD phone app acts as your Driver Recognition System instead.
As well as the standard S5 tracker specifications, your tracking system is linked directly to your phone to identify you remotely as the authorised driver of your vehicle. This protects you against all of the current methods of theft such as key theft and relay crime.
Your D-ID app system acts as an effective and convenient alternative to carrying Driver ID fobs for all authorised drivers.

The Smartrack S5 insurance-approved tracker has recently been tested and categorised to TQA standards, with a 24/7 monitoring service.

The new Smartrack S5 Thatcham tracker operates using GPS and GLONASS satellite networks and maximises GPRS and GSM technology to ensure that the S5 is the most comprehensive theft recovery device now available.

The S5 is the upgraded version of the CAT 5 Thatcham tracker and features an advanced in-built battery backup system. This means that your S5 Tracker will still remain operating even if your vehicle’s power supply is removed.

Your S5 tracking device has the option of the Remote Immobilisation feature. You can select this in the drop-down above when adding to the basket. Remote immobilisation allows the control room to immobilise your vehicle in the event of a theft. PLEASE NOTE: the immobilisation system is not a standard requirement in order for you to receive your S5 completion certificate. it is just an additional security feature that you can opt for. You will also be issued a CAT 5 completion certificate.

IS THE D-ID THE BEST CAR TRACKER WITH AN APP?
The Smartrack D-iD S5 vehicle tracker has been introduced with a revolutionary app ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) feature. This is for customers who would prefer to use their phone as their Driver Recognition System device, as opposed to carrying an additional fob. Your installed Driver Recognition System automatically acknowledges your phone app when you enter/leave the vehicle, recognising you as the authorised driver. If anyone ever steals your vehicle, the ADR triggers an instant alert in the control room.
IS THE SMARTRACK S5 VEHICLE TRACKER ALSO AN IMMOBILISER?
You can upgrade the Smartrack S5 vehicle tracker to also feature remote immobilisation. The S5 tracker category does not require immobilisation, so this is just an added feature for your own peace of mind. Simply select Remote Immobilisation in the dropdown box at the top of the product page.
WHAT IF I FORGET MY MOBILE PHONE OR RUN OUT OF BATTERY WHEN DRIVING?
You can still drive your vehicle. An alert will be triggered directly to the Smartrack Global Telemetrics Control Room. They will attempt to contact you using all of the contact details provided. It is therefore advised to provide multiple contact numbers for yourself and any other named drivers.

WHEN DO I PAY MY SUBSCRIPTION?
After your Trackershop engineer has installed and commissioned your vehicle tracking device, you will be contacted by the Smartrack Global Telemetrics control room to set up your subscription. This will only take a few minutes, and they will then forward your completion certificate and login details to your app.
WHAT IS AN ADR TRACKER?
Instead of ' S5 tracker ' your insurance provider may instead use a term such as ' ADR Tracker ' , or ' Tracker with an ADR system '. ADR stands for Automatic Driver Recognition. This is the main feature of the S5 vehicle tracking device, so this product will be suitable for your insurance providers requirements.
DO I NEED TO LOG IN TO MY APP EACH TIME I USE MY VEHICLE?
No, you won't need to do anything extra when using your vehicle. As long as you have your app open in the background of your phone, you can enter and leave your vehicle as normal - your ADR system will automatically read the app.
