The Ghost Immobiliser is perhaps the most comprehensive vehicle security available.
On top of this it is extremely user friendly.
Your pin will be unique to you, making it simple to remember – but mathematically impossible for a thief to guess.
In addition, if you do forget your PIN your engineer will have provided you with an Emergency PIN Code override. Simply scratch this off the card and follow the instructions to reset your PIN.

PROTECTS AGAINST KEY THEFT, KEYLESS ENTRY & KEY CLONING
Completely Undetectable Protection
Modern thieves can use diagnostic equipment to detect circuit cuts and aftermarket security. The Autowatch Ghost has no cut, so cannot be detected using these techniques. The Ghost security does not emit any kind of frequency either... making the Ghost invisible and silent to thieves!
Thieves using key cloning technology are not able to clone keys or replace the ECU of the vehicle in order to override the Ghost Immobiliser security. Regardless of the theft technique it is impossible to start your vehicle without your unique PIN first being entered.
Thieves can use Radio Frequency Scanners to detect the fitted security on the vehicle. Your Ghost Immobiliser does not transmit and detectable radio frequency signals, making it undetectable under these circumstances.
Organised car thief gangs can detect circuit cuts on vehicles using diagnostics reading devices.
The Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser does not involve any circuit cuts, so is once again undetectable to thieves using this method
SECURITY UNIQUE TO YOU
Unique PIN Security
Your own unique PIN is created using the vehicle’s existing buttons that are accessible from the driver position. There is no way for a thief to know the combination in advance or even detect that an immobiliser is present on the vehicle. You can change the PIN any time you would like to.
Fob Option
Want the comprehensive Ghost immobiliser security - but prefer to not use a PIN sequence?
You can opt for the ‘override’ driver fob instead. All you do is keep the fob with you when using your vehicle.
When you get in your vehicle, the proximity fob will automatically be acknowledged by your Ghost security system. This will then allow you to start your vehicle.
If anyone enters your vehicle without a driver fob, they simply cannot start your car.
1 fob supplied as standard when you upgrade to this option.

Stealth Silent Operation
With a Ghost Immobiliser installed there is no way a thief will be able to detect the ‘tell-tale’ clicking of a traditional immobiliser. This is because your Ghost Immobiliser communicates directly with the ECU on the data bus to immobilise your vehicle.
The Ghost Immobiliser is weatherproof and so small that it can be combined in to the vehicles mechanism making it practically impossible to detect.

ADVANCED IMMOBILISER SECURITY
Fully Reversible
Your Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser can be removed and reinstalled in a new vehicle without any indication that it was ever there.
Your Ghost Immobiliser is connected directly to your vehicle’s CAN (Controller Area Network).
From there a customised PIN is generated specifically for you. This PIN is a unique private sequence, using buttons on your dash and steering wheel.
This means only those who know the combination are able to start your vehicle.
Service Mode
You may need someone else to drive your vehicle temporarily (e.g. valet parking) or when your vehicle is being serviced.
In such an instance you can set ‘Service Mode’, allowing your vehicle to be started and driven without the need for the PIN.
Uses the CAN Bus (Controller Area Network)
Using the CAN Data Bus means a low likelihood of your Ghost immobiliser being found as well as simple / reversible installation.

IS MY CAR COMPATIBLE WITH THE GHOST IMMOBILISER?
Most road vehicles with a CANBUS in place are compatible with the Ghost Immobiliser. To be sure, you can quickly and easily check your vehicle’s compatibility at the link at top of the page.
IS THE AUTOWATCH GHOST IMMOBILISER EASY TO USE?
Yes! Car security has really never been more important. But we also know that life can be hard enough at times, so we have ensured that your Ghost immobiliser will be as quick and easy as possible to use.
HOW LONG IS THE DISARM PIN SEQUENCE?
You can set your sequence from 4-20 buttons in your cockpit. This can be any combination of your existing controls, from your windscreen wiper toggle to your electric window button.
WHAT IF I FORGET MY UNIQUE SEQUENCE?
Don’t worry. You will be provided with an access card with a reset code. If you forget your sequence you can enter the unique reset code, and then enter a new permanent PIN sequence.
HOW DO GHOST IMMOBILISERS WORK?
Most vehicles are actually equipped with a factory fitted immobiliser as standard. These involve an electric chip built in to your vehicle's ECU (Electronic Control Unit). When you then attempt to start your vehicle, your key fob will send a compatible code to the ECU chip - enabling it to start. If someone therefore attempts to start your vehicle with a different / no key, your vehicle simply will not start. But what if the thieves DO have your key? Or they hack the key frequency? The Ghost Immobiliser adds an unhackable, undetectable layer of security to your vehicle by having an additional PIN to be entered before this transmission is accepted.
HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE SERVICE MODE?
There is no limit to the amount of times you use Service Mode. Every aspect of the Ghost has been designed for the best car immobiliser security, but also to ensure the easiest possible experience for you.
CAN I CHANGE MY PIN SEQUENCE?
You can change your PIN any time.
IS THE AUTOWATCH GHOST IMMOBILISER INSURANCE APPROVED?
The Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser is TASSA accredited so is recognised by most insurers - and is even a stipulation by many.
IS THE GHOST IMMOBILISER A GPS TRACKER?
No. The Ghost Immobiliser is not a GPS tracker as well. If you did want both an immobiliser and tracker combo, many customers have been using the Ghost Immobiliser with the S7 tracker. This is useful when your insurance provider has asked you to install a car tracker, but you also want the benefit of immobilisation too. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND INSTALLING A GHOST IMMOBILISER AND TRACKER?
If your insurance provider are requesting that you install a Thatcham approved tracker then many customers have been fitting an S7 tracker with the Ghost Immobiliser. This means that you have met your insurance providers requirements with the tracking device and have also added the extra security of an immobiliser.
CAN I GET A CAR TRACKER WITH IMMOBILISER?
Yes you can. Any of the S5 Plus trackers are Thatcham approved trackers with the addition of police authorised remote immobilisation.
CAN A THIEF FIND THE GHOST IMMOBILISER?
The Ghost does not emit any noises, lights or frequencies. Your Ghost immobiliser is also hidden in the CANBUS wiring of your vehicle, and due to its small size and discreet design it cannot be seen when in position.
IS THERE AN AUTOWATCH GHOST 3 APP?
Yes, there is an Autowatch Ghost 3 app. The app can work in replacement of your pin sequence. Personally, we find the PIN sequence is still the best way of disarming your immobiliser, but you still have the option of implementing the app if you prefer.
CAN I GET INSTALLATION FOR THE GHOST IMMOBILISER NEAR ME?
Yes you can. Trackershop provide speedy nationwide installation. Our engineers can visit any UK postcode, and we can typically have your Ghost Immobiliser installed within 1-3 working days.
CAN MY CAR BE STOLEN WITH A GHOST IMMOBILISER?
No, your car cannot be stolen with a Ghost Immobiliser installed. This is because it will be impossible to start the ignition without the correct PIN sequence. The Ghost immobiliser unit cannot be detected on the vehicle and cannot be visually identified. The only unlikely option for a thief is to tow your vehicle away or lift it on to a flat bed lorry. If this is a concern, then we strongly recommend also installing a proactive tracker - which will alert you to this and show the police the live location of the vehicle.
WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS TO USE MY CAR?
That’s no problem. You can put your Autowatch Ghost immobiliser in to Service Mode any time. This is another short sequence and will temporarily disables your Ghost, allowing others to drive the vehicle without needing to enter your code. This is really useful when your vehicle needs to go in to a garage for an MOT or service.
DOES THE GHOST IMMOBILISER VOID WARRANTY?
This will be something that needs to be checked at the dealership or your manufacturer - as each independent provider will have their own conditions in place.
