IS MY CAR COMPATIBLE WITH THE X-SERIES IMMOBILISER?

IS THE SCORPION X-SERIES CAR IMMOBILISER EASY TO USE?

Yes! Car security has really never been more important. But we also know that life can be hard enough at times, so we have ensured that your X-Series car immobiliser will be as quick and easy as possible to use.

HOW LONG IS THE DISARM PIN SEQUENCE?

You can set your sequence from 4-20 buttons in your cockpit. This can be any combination of your existing controls, from your windscreen wiper toggle to your electric window button.

WHAT IF I FORGET MY UNIQUE SEQUENCE?

Don’t worry. You will be provided with an access card with a reset code. If you forget your sequence you can enter the unique reset code, and then enter a new permanent PIN sequence.

WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS TO USE MY CAR?

That’s no problem. You can put your Scorpion X-Series in to Service Mode any time. This is another short sequence and will temporarily disables your vehicle immobiliser, allowing others to drive the vehicle without needing to enter your code. This is really useful when your vehicle needs to go in to a garage for an MOT or service.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE SERVICE MODE?

There is no limit to the amount of times you use Service Mode. Every aspect of the Scorpion X-Series has been designed for the best car immobiliser security, but also to ensure the easiest possible experience for you.

CAN I CHANGE MY PIN SEQUENCE?

You can change your PIN any time.

IS THIS CAR IMMOBILISER THATCHAM APPROVED?

The Scorpion X-Series Immobiliser is not a requirement for your insurance policy at this stage. It is therefore not categorised by Thatcham.

IS THIS CAR IMMOBILISER A GPS TRACKER?

No. This car Immobiliser is not a GPS tracker as well. If you did want both an immobiliser and tracker combo, many customers have opted for the X-Series Car Immobiliser with the ScorpionTrack S7 tracker. This is useful when your insurance provider has asked you to install a car tracker, but you also want the benefit of immobilisation too.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND INSTALLING A X-SERIES VEHICLE IMMOBILISER AND TRACKER?

If your insurance provider is requesting that you install a Thatcham approved tracker then many customers have been fitting a ScorpionTrack S5 Plus tracker. This means that you have the highest level of Thatcham tracking security for your insurance providers requirements, with the added the extra security of an immobiliser.

CAN I GET A CAR TRACKER WITH IMMOBILISER?

Yes you can. Any of the S5 Plus trackers are Thatcham approved trackers with the addition of police authorised remote immobilisation.

CAN A THIEF FIND THE VEHICLE IMMOBILISER?

The X-Series does not emit any noises, lights or frequencies. Your immobiliser is also hidden in the CANBUS wiring of your vehicle, and due to its small size and discreet design it cannot be seen when in position.
