TRACKERSHOP'S GPS TRACKERS ON BBC 1 SHOWS

Over the last 6 months, Trackershop have been providing GPS trackers and support for several prime time BBC 1 shows.

It is a huge compliment to be approached by the BBC and to also be considered the industry experts in this area. We are even more proud that our trackers are being used to help solve and prevent theft-based crimes in line with these shows.

THIEF TRACKERS

After a hugely successful series premiere last September, Thief Trackers is currently being repeated on BBC One weekdays at 11:15.

Thief Trackers uses covert hidden tracking devices in everyday tech objects to monitor and analyze criminal behaviour.

The objects are monitored from theft, and then tracked to see the pattern and journey of an item once it disappears out of view of its rightful owner.  

Trackershop developed and fitted GPS tracking in to a number of items; such as laptops, tablets, cameras and even mobile phones.

The pin point accuracy of our small GPS tracker circuit boards allowed a detailed journey that could be confidently analyzed to measure the behavior of thieves- and the surprising locations that stolen items travel to.  

With regards to what was needed in a tracker service, we are so pleased that we were able to provide results beyond the producer's expectations. The additional features of our tracking devices and the expertise provided when assessing the tracking data has helped create a huge audience share for the show, which has subsequently developed in to a second series being commissioned.

The second series is in the pipeline for early Summer.
