Child trackers are helping to provide further protection for children of all ages, as well as comfort for parents.

There's not many parents who will deny how hard raising children can be. And, as they begin to get older, more and more outside elements begin to slowly factor in. From school trips, to friends sleep overs; trips to the park, going out with friends... and then they become mobile, behind the wheel, and the parenting fun gets taken to a whole new level!

Throughout all stages, the core of any decision as a parent is safety. As your child matures, that balance between allowing independence and space to grow will never substitute safety.

Most parents will see secondary school as an escalation in a child's desire for freedom and independence. With a sudden gain in access to a huge variety of opinions, activities, new locations and friends houses and hang outs, your child's eyes are open to the world and the exciting experiences that it offers. For them the fact that (seemingly) all of their friends are allowed to do more, stay out later, spend weekends away, get in so and so's car etc is a daily frustration.

In raising children, and life in general, allowing room to make mistakes, and learn as a result is important, but easier said than done.

From a young age, it is natural for a child to want to broaden their horizons. Even if it's something as simple as being allowed to walk to the local shop alone to get the milk. What they are wanting really is to display their competence and maturity- which is only natural.

Although you may have full trust in your child and their awareness, and indeed want to encourage growth, experience and independence, there are so many other variables to consider.

ADD SAFETY AND INDEPENDENCE WITH A GPS TRACKER

Since launching the Pro Pod 4 Personal Tracker, the ability to monitor and protect vulnerable individuals, lone workers, travellers has significantly improved.

Our Pro Pod trackers are small in size and light in weight (approximately the size of a match box) and are therefore easy to carry in a pocket, school/kit bag, hand bag, jacket etc.

The ProPods are also equipped with a GPS (assisted-GPS), ensuring a stronger signal.

We now also provide personal trackers that can be hidden and even sewn in to clothing and accessories.

The Ultra Mini range are totally sealed, and waterproof; and they charge via a conductive power mat. This means that they do not need to be removed from the item of clothing to charge them!

FEATURES:

SOS BUTTON - Once pressed, the Pro Pod will send an instant text message or email to your phone (up to 3 different registered phones), alerting you, and giving your child's exact location.

GEO FENCE - (SAFETY ZONE) There may be specific places and locations that you will either not want your child to leave (garden, school, playing field etc). As well as areas that you do not want them going (a certain venue, or even a neighbouring town etc)

For this, you can quickly and easily set up Geo Fences remotely through your computer.

Have a quick look at geo Fences being set up.

If they cross the boundaries that you have set up, you will receive an instant alert through text/email.

SPEED AWARENESS - If you have a teen who has just started driving (or even if they have been driving for a while), when placed on the dashboard or in the glove compartment, their ProPod will record the vehicle's path, location and speed.

MINIMAL UPKEEP/MAINTENANCE - The Pro Pods 4 and 5, with consistent daily use will allow for approx 15-20 and 14-20 day battery life between charges respectively.

HISTORY LOG - All of the information is retained in your Mapping Panel's History Report. You can access any date and time to see the activity of your tracker.

What has surprised us is that, far from being reluctant to comply and carry a GPS tracker, kids have jumped at the chance if it means that it allows them additional freedom. just walking to school with friends, going to the park or to the local shopping centre are important for encouraging independence, and developing social skills.

It seems, that more often than not, children do not have ulterior intentions, or are looking to hoodwink their parents by going somewhere they shouldn't. They just want to enjoy a bit of freedom, prove themselves to be competent and grow as individuals.

And of course, if they are not using their tracker as they should be, it will soon become evident with a quick look at the mapping panel. What's important, is to ensure they are aware that this is a safety device. And not to spy on them.

ADDITIONAL CHILD TRACKER USES

Schools, universities and groups are commonly using these for school trips, Duke of Edinburgh awards, trips abroad, extreme sporting excursions.

GAP YEAR TRIPS - Our live GPS trackers work worldwide. And with more obscure and elaborate trips and activities becoming the norm, as well as an increased number of lone travellers, such a safety device as our personal trackers can save lives.

It's a nice way to document the trip too. Retrospectively viewing the History Report, and seeing all the locations you have been; you can literally pinpoint your exact locations around the world on the map.

FAMILY HOLIDAYS - If you have younger children that you would like to involve in activity holidays, a personal tracker is an absolute must for safety and peace of mind. As Christmas approaches, there has been an influx of orders for ski trips.

As parents, we know first hand that nothing will ever eliminate that constant fear and concern for your child's safety. However, we are very excited by the fact that this will help in the protection, safety and development of children, teens and young adults.
