The TRACKIT-POUCH 2 uses the technology from a standard TRACK-Pod 2 that is modified to fit a BRAND NEW 10400 mAh battery pack. The TRACKIT-POUCH 2 arrives complete with a its waterproof pouch and two extreme magnets. You also receive a Lith-ion charger to charge the battery pack. There is no need to remove the tracker and battery from the pouch when you need to charge it. Just open the pouch and a charging wire will literally pop out, enabling you to connect the TRACKIT-POUCH to the charger.
The TRACKIT-POUCH 2 is great if you require long battery life from a managable size unit. The magnets are very strong, with a pulling force of 49Kg each, this ensures the device will stand extreme vibrations and remains attached to the vehicle.
Expected battery life with the TRACKIT-POUCH 2 depends upon how often you have asked your device to report combined with the amout of movement the tracker experiences during the period of use. The TRACKIT-POUCH 2 technology can report its position from every 5 seconds whilst in motion. Depending upon this setting and other variable conditions most customers now enjoy an amazing 7 weeks of battery life before recharging, depending upon conditions and settings.
This latest version of the Track-Pod family now uses a motion sensor to further extend the battery life of the tracker. When stationary for more than 30 seconds the tracker will allow its GPS module to fall "asleep", and hence reduce the overall power requirement of the unit. Once it senses movement again the tracker wakes itself up fully and provides an up to date location to its mapping panel. This ensures that the tracker provides the absolute last possible location report prior to entering a period of stillness/sleep. Location updates from the tracker to notify the mapping panel that it is "asleep" and "awake" will use one location credit. Even in "sleep" status the Track-Pod 2 is always alert and waiting for commands from the user.
The motion sensor has allowed the addition of a "movement alert" button on the mapping panel, which is a superb tool for those users who wish to be alerted when their asset being tracked moves off from a stop-over.
The TRACKIT-POUCH 2 is a very powerful GPS live tracker system that tracks effectively in most countries of the world, allowing you to view its position from every 10 seconds and upwards. Not only can you view the TRACK-Pod 2 LiveMap from its website control panel, but if you would prefer you can simply switch off the live tracking from your tracking panel and just call the device from your mobile phone when you want to know where it is. The tracker will then return the street address details via an SMS message to the callers mobile phone. On phones with WAP facilities users can access a full tracking map panel to view their tracking and control their tracker. An iPhone app is also available.

Our trackers will track from most developed countries. Should you intend to use the tracker abroad though it is very important that you please inform us and ensure that your tracker is set up for international roaming before the tracker leaves the UK. You will be required to pay a higher rate for location and sms topups whilst using the tracker abroad.
We have also included 100 position credits and 25 command sms credits to get you going (valid for 12 months). Once your 100 positions are finished you can purchase more by simply clicking a button on your control panel or direct via this website. When purchased in larger quantities the cost of position reports cost as little as 2/10th of a penny.
