It is a superb addition to our range and is noteable for its quality, ease of use and simple to control mapping panel. Delivered ready to go the PET TRACKER is produced by us in response to a growing demand for an easy and cost effective method of tracking wandering dogs and other animals. It is waterproof to IPX5 standard (safe against jets of water). The tracker is supplied with two pouches (one as spare) and extra waterproof protective bags for additional protection for those with dogs/pets that are likely to fully jump into deep water.
The PET TRACKER is really tiny in size. At 65x35x20 mm and 58g it is specifically designed for ease of carrying and use. It is ideal in every way for attaching to pet collars using the elasticated protective pouch (closed with velcro and press-studs). It is delivered to you 'ready to go' and uses the 'Easy-Map' mapping panel system which as the name suggests is easy to use, and provides simple and effective controllability. You can top-up with location credits via the panel (each location report costs as little as 2/10th's of a penny when bought in quantity), as well as electing what reporting period you wish the tracker to use. Note though that the tracker will only use these location credits when the tracker senses significant movement (speed or distance) and notifies the mapping panel that it is "awake" or "asleep".
If you have a pet which likes to wander off then it is very easy to create a "safety zone" on the mapping panel. This is a circle you can fix over any location (say your house and garden). Once set then you can be alerted (by text message to up to 5 mobile phones) that your PET TRACKER (and hopefully your pet) has passed outside the zone. A fantastic facility. Great for those owners who let there pet have a degree of freedom but who want to be warned if it wanders off.
The PET TRACKER is a very small powerful GPS live tracker that tracks superbly allowing you to view its position from every 5 seconds and upwards.
Our trackers will track from most developed countries. Should you intend to use the tracker abroad though it is very important that you please inform us and ensure that your tracker is set up for international roaming before the tracker leaves the UK. You will be required to pay a higher rate for location and sms topups whilst using the tracker abroad.
This latest version of the Track-Pod family now uses a motion sensor to further extend the battery life of the tracker. When stationary for more than 30 seconds the tracker will allow its GPS module to fall "asleep", and hence reduce the overall power requirement of the unit. Once it senses movement again the tracker wakes itself up fully and provides an up to date location to its mapping panel. Even in "sleep" status the Track-Pod 2 is always alert and waiting for commands from the user.
The motion sensor has allowed the addition of a "movement alert" button on the mapping panel, which is a superb tool for those users who wish to be alerted when their asset being tracked moves off from a stop-over.
Not only can you view the PET TRACKER from its website control panel, but if you would prefer you can simply switch off the live tracking from your tracking panel and just call the device from your mobile phone when you want to know where it is. The tracker will then return the street address details via an SMS message to the callers mobile phone. On phones with WAP facilities users can access a full tracking map panel to view their tracking and control their tracker. An iPhone app is also available. This enables you to track the movements of your pet from a mobile phone whilst you are out looking for it.
We also believe in making matters very simple. The PET TRACKEr tracking solution works immediately once you remove it from the box, switch on and your tracking live. No activation costs, no monthly fees. You have the freedom to use the device when you wish.
We have also included 100 positions credits and 25 command sms credits to get you going (valid for 12 months). Once your 100 positions are finished you can purchase more by simply clicking a button on your control panel or via this website.
Manufactured to a very high standard the meets the demands of many flexible tracking solutions required in today's market.
