NEW YEAR SALE PRICE. JUST REDUCED FROM £267+VAT
The FleetMan 2 is designed as a cost effective and easy to manage fully-live tracking tool for those clients who would like to know where their personal or company assets, vehicles or employees are. Unlike most of the fleet trackers on the marketplace ours is different in a number of ways:
-
It is very simple to operate and provides the essentials of GPS tracking, without the complication of boring add-ons like fuel management, engine cut-offs, door control, alarm access and the like. If you, like most of the people we talk to, just want to know where your vehicles are now, or were, at a previous point in time, the Fleetman is up to the job and much more.
-
The Fleetman 2 has NO MONTHLY/YEARLY MAPPING SUBSCRIPTION. Once purchased the only running costs are the credits associated with the communication of the tracking data to your mapping panel. These can be bought as simple top-ups (exactly like topping up a mobile phone) via our website or can be bought as a one-off pre-paid bundle for the year.
The Fleetman 2 is technology which uses our Easy-Map mapping system (see more examples on via the link on the home page) and is waterproof for all but submersion. It includes a wiring kit for connection to a vehicle, plant, boat or caravan with 12/24 volt power supplies. It is light and easy to fit using the screw lugs attached to the unit. As the GPS antenna on the Fleetman is contained within the body of the tracker the correct placement of the unit is critical for effective operation. Most clients find that placement underneath and in the upper portion of the vehicle dash to be perfect, although under seats and in cargo areas and plastic bumpers are equally effective. For commercial vehicles where covert fitting is not an issue the best place to fit a Fleetman is in an unobstructed position on the top of the dashboard.
Once wired into a vehicle the unit will track the vehicle in a "fully live" mode, reporting its position to your mapping panel at periods from every 10 seconds and up while the vehicle is moving. This setting is controlled by you, the user, direct from your tracking panel. Simply access your panel and view however many trackers you have together on Google and Bing maps. All previous journeys can be viewed on the panel and can be exported in Excel format for distribution to those who may be interested.
Whilst the Fleetman 2 is getting power from the vehicle (wired to ignition live), the unit is live. When the ignition is turned off the unit will then run on battery power for a further 7-14 days (depending upon settings). As the tracker is always live you can request a current location from it at any time, even when the vehicle is stationary.
This latest version of the Track-Pod family now uses a motion sensor to further extend the battery life of the tracker. When stationary for more than 30 seconds the tracker will allow its GPS module to fall "asleep", and hence reduce the overall power requirement of the unit. Once it senses movement again the tracker wakes itself up fully and provides an up to date location to its mapping panel. This ensures that the tracker provides the absolute last possible location report prior to entering a period of stillness/sleep. Location updates from the tracker to notify the mapping panel that it is "asleep" and "awake" will use one location credit. Even in "sleep" status the Fleetman 2 is always alert and waiting for commands from the user.
The motion sensor has allowed the addition of a "movement alert" button on the mapping panel, which is a superb tool for those users who wish to be alerted when their asset being tracked moves off from a stop-over.
Not only can you view the TRACK-Pod 2 LiveMap from its website control panel, but if you would prefer you can simply switch off the live tracking from your tracking panel and just call the device from your mobile phone when you want to know where it is. The tracker will then return the street address details via an SMS message to the callers mobile phone. On phones with WAP facilities users can access a full tracking map panel to view their tracking and control their tracker. An iPhone app is also available.
Information available via the mapping panel includes vehicle speed and the user can create safety-zones (Geo-fences) which will initiate SMS warnings sent you any mobile phone when vehicles enter or leave the zones.
The casing of the FleetMan 2 is designed to be screwed to the vehicle or left loose underneath the dash. The unit is an entirely self contained, with both the GSM and GPS antenna enclosed within the casing.
As standard the Fleetman 2 is delivered in a Pay-as-you-go mode, necessitating occasional purchase of location credits.
